What a unique costume idea – Invisible Man costumes - and not one you see everyday either! And The Invisible Man, by virtue of the fact that he is invisible, often wears no clothing at all.

In the movie, the Invisible Man,  he accomplishes this feat by injecting himself with an experimental drug which causes his body to neither absorb nor reflect light waves. Unfortunately, the side effect of this concoction is that he becomes completely mentally unstable and goes mad. Now this is not something that you’ll want to do to yourself I don’t think.

When affected by the drug and invisible (just like in the movie, The Invisible Man Costume has the appearance of an empty suit just up and about walking around. His hat appears to sit on nothing but air as he moves about the room – a really cool effect. And if he puts on glasses of any kind it’s the same deal, they also appear to hang in mid air or move about with him as he walks from place to place with no face to sit upon. A really interesting thing to see.

If the Invisible Man Costume ever wears gloves, they appear to be placed on an actual human hand, all filled out and formed like a real hand but when they are removed you can immediately see that there is no hand present – or at least not one that you can see! Creepy! And the same is true as he removes each article of clothing piece by piece – kind of like an invisible strip tease.

And his horrific strip tease in the movie is really quite memorable too – it seems as though something is filling up the clothes though it looks as though nothing at all is inside of the clothes except maybe a ghost or spirit of some kind. And if there are no longer any clothes, then there’s no longer a man to be seen either! A really spooky effect!
